How to run the Historic Course Access Report.


Problem Statement:

How to run Historic Course Access Report, the report seems to be not enabled for account.

Role: Admin user.

Brief Description:

In the recent release, there is new report known as Historic Reports” is introduced.

In most of the accounts/cases when admin try to generate this report, they see a warning message” ‘Currently there are no archived course access reports”. ( see the screen shot below)

This article explains what is an Historic Reports”

The “Historic report” is basically a course access report: For any course/learning object , if the enrollment count is more than 5,000,000, ALM stores only the last six months of data in the live DB, and the remaining things will be moved to the archive report.

This is done by the Cron, so there is no manual process here. The Cron will run every three months. So, if any of the course has more enrollment count will create the filters automatically in the system. So that the admin can be able to generate the reports.
